| Healing
The wind blows hard and rustles the leaves of the forest. You hear them and see some seedpods float to the ground like little groups of helicopters. You walk along a path set before you. Walking along the path you are quite curious as to where it leads. You smell the fresh scent of leaves and pine as the sound of trickling water fills your ears. It gets louder as a clearing comes into view and the image of a creek enters your mind. There is a young fox sitting at the edge of the water, its coat a magnificent red. It looks up at you with its deep blue eyes which seem to dive into your soul. It turns to the water and takes a drink unmoved by your presence. A thunderous roar breaks the silence of the forest and leaves the young animal unmoving on its side. You look in the direction of the sound and see a man running away. Your attention returns to the fox and your heart begins to ache for it. Your throat is dry and your eyes begin to sting as you begin to shed tears for the animal. You stumble towards the limp mass of fur and kneel next to the it. Your heart becomes a roar inyour head and your tears streak down your face and onto th eanimal's fur. The fox's wound begins to heal itself and you realize your love is what is saving him. The blue eyes open and you can't help but smile through your tears. 8.30.00
Wilderness
As you look up to the stars you feel the gentle warmth of the fire... You hear the crackle of the hot wood inside the inferno... The stars, like fireflies in the night sky, dot the black void... The moon full in the cloudless sky, shines its beautiful rays upon your You see the ashes from the fire float into the sky as if trying to reach the beauty of the moon... The wind blows hard through the trees and your attention diverts to the lake in the distance... An old dock sways above the water... It makes a slow, soft creaking like the aged wood of the dock is about to give way... A sounding cricket interrupts the silence... You take a deep breath and and smell a mixture of undisturbed nature and burning wood... The air is fresh, warm and calming on your body... Standing up you begin to run for the dock... Taking many long strides you reach the dock and your feet pad across the soft wood... As you near the end of the dock you take a final step then a leap out with arms outstretched... 8.31.00
The Gazebo
The rain begins to hit the gazebo roof... Tat-Tat Tat-Tat The rain begins to strengthen as you hear it hit the ground around the You look down the path you took to the gazebo and see and smell the glorious roses of every color that outline it... Around the outside of the gazebo there are a great variety of flowers and their scent arises and blends with the roses... The wind blows and rocks the trees that are just beyond the roses... The air smells sweet and pungent... You feel the humidity in the air and walk out onto the path... As you leave the sanctity of the gazebo you feel the drops of rain land on your arms, face, and body... As the sun shows its radiance from behind the clouds the rain becomes a trickle... You can feel the warmth of the sun on your rain soaked face and smile.... 8.31.00 Please write me at: Ou4ts2yd0er@aol.com |
