These are ink sketches I made in 1994 to go into a book about the Okanogan Schools. These are only a few of the 40+ drawings I did both from photographs, and early timers description.

Okanogan H.S.Gym Addition, Built in 1928. Prior to this the basketball teams played in apple warehouses. There were repeated cases of blood poisoning from the splinters picked up on the rough floors and many serious colds because of going out in the cold without the benefits of a shower. The boys decided to avoid the risk of injury and sickness, and wait until they had a gym. This is the one built. It had bleachers on one side and a stage on the end. I directed many plays in this gym until it was torn down in 1983 to build a new school.
