I started collecting land speed record things about five years ago, so I haven't really been doing it that long. I had known about the record for years but only got really interested in it when THRUST SSC came along. I think this car is awsome. I have about 40 models of land speed record cars which date from the earliest in 1898 through to 1997. I also collect all types of speed record advertisements, from Castrol to rain coats. I have about 30+ books as well on the land speed record and also the water speed and air speed records.
