Most of my photography experience, and most of my photos, come from my seven years as a photographer's mate in the Navy. I am now a music teacher, married, with two children.

Little Girl, Rota, Spain, 1979

Letter to Coffeedrome:

This is Karl Scarborough. I submitted photos for Coffeedrome, and in particular one of the girl from Rota Spain. If you remember, this is the little girl I took a photo of in 1979 while I was in the Navy (USS Nimitz) and we were in port in Rota. I was out taking photos, took a photo of this girl.

Then about a year or two ago, you recieved an email from the girl that was in this photo. Well, here I am at my parents looking through the photo albums, and I came across this photo of me taking that photo.

It might be interesting to include on the Coffeedrome site with the photo of the little girl (Raquel).

I did hear from her a while back and she told me she is living in New York, married and has children of her own. I emailed requesting a current photo of her to include in with the photo of her that I have. She emailed back and said she was planning to get a digital camera soon and would get me one when she does. Haven't heard from her yet.

Anyway, thought you would be interested in seeing the photo of me taking that photo. I am still amazed at the turn of events with this photo!

Thanks to you and your web site.

Karl
