.You

You are the sun on a cloudy day,
You make my sad times fly away.
You add the flowers to my vase,
And just a smile upon my face.
You are the laces in my shoe.
You always care just what I do.
You are the tic-toc of my clock.
To you alone I tell my thoughts.
You have a hand that fits in mine.
We have a love, a love that binds.
You are my smile, my laugh, my hi!
How could I ever say good-bye?

Summer

The days are long,
The sun is bright.
Relax, enjoy,
The time is right.

Long sunny lazy days
Are the biggest part of summer,
Plus time out for friends and family
During summer's warm nights
Without number.

H2O

(A poem for Rikki by her mother, Eloise)

I'm sure I'm a rain person.
A downpour is bliss to me
and I don't miss
the sunshine a bit.
If I had my way,
water dalling every day,
I'd say "Fine."
Watch a show,
read,
or play some cards.
My yard entices me to the grass
too wet to sit and
Weighty prisms cover my flowers.
Do they also feel pain?
A quick shake
Upright again.
Like me, sort of,
but i never stay blue
when these droplets
silver-hued
surround me.

I feel rich!
I feel sane!
I love rain
rain!
rain!
